Best Tattoo Removal Options

When we went for the tattoo we were hundred percent sure to have them all life but many things change in our lives and we reach a point when we hate our decision to have the tattoo. Now the solution is tattoo removal. The problem with tattoo removal is it is as painful as it was when we first had them and as expensive.

But there are many methods available without any surgery at home or at salon alternatives to tattoo removal and some of the types of tattoo removal are given below for your information.

Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal is the most common procedure to get rid of the tattoo. This may be the most common method but not the best method according to some people because it is very expensive method requiring repeated visits to the center. It is also very painful method and expensive reaching up to thousands of dollars depending on the size of the tattoo and complications you may encounter. There is also a chance of getting your skin damaged.

With all these risk factors this is the most common method of tattoo removal because of the success rate and advancement of technology every year. Nevertheless the success and satisfaction differs from person to person depending on the actual success of the procedure in removing the tattoo and goal of the person had in his mind.

The technology that is working here is just the laser breaks up the ink molecules and allows the body natural metabolism to remove the ink out.

Intense Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL) Tattoo Removal

This is a much better procedure than laser tattoo removal because it is much less painful. It also takes lesser time to get rid of the tattoo than the laser method. Apart from these two advantages, this procedure is almost similar to the laser method of tattoo removal.

Here the light pulses are used to break up the ink rather than laser beam. The cost of the light therapy tattoo removal is almost similar to that of laser method if not more.

Excision Method Tattoo Removal

Skin excision is a surgical procedure where the entire skin along with the tattoo is excised (cut out and removed). The skin is sutured together if the tattoo is small or skin is grafted from other part of the body. The cost of the procedure can be very high as it is a cosmetic surgery and includes a number of risks like infection, graft rejection, scarring etc.

Dermabrasion Tattoo Removal

This is also an invasive surgical method where the skin is removed by repeated application of abrasion or sanding method. This is a very painful method requiring local anesthetic agents and lots of ointments. The risks are swelling and infection. This is also a comparatively expensive method.

Tattoo Removal Cream

There are many types of tattoo removal creams available in the market. This method works by applying the cream repeatedly which over a period of time destroys the ink and fades it away. The duration may be very long depending upon the size and inks used for the tattoo.

Many people opt for this method as this is very cheap method without any pain involved. But the success rate here also varies depending on the person’s skin type, size of the tattoo, ink used for the tattoo, duration of the cream applied, and compliance.
